This is a self-winding IWC model from 1963.
The fluid style connecting the case to the lugs is a hallmark design of 1960s IWC models.
While this specific model does not have a model number, later versions were designated "Ref. 347A."
The dial has developed a patina, offering the distinct charm of an antique watch.
The outer edge of the dial features pearl dots, a design element common in vintage IWC timepieces.
The mirror-finished indices emit a beautiful luster, creating an elegant atmosphere without feeling overly flashy.
The dial features the cursive "International Watch Co." signature at the 12 o'clock position, evoking a vintage feel.
There is a date display at the 3 o'clock position. Because the date window is placed closer to the center than the 3 o'clock index, it is often referred to as "cross-eyed."
It is powered by the Pellaton-style self-winding "Cal. 8531" movement.
This movement features a robust design with excellent shock resistance, winding efficiency, and durability.
It does not feature a hacking seconds (stop-second) function or a quick-set date mechanism.
The crown is 5mm in diameter, making it easy to grip and highly functional.
Operation
How to pull the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and gently pull it out.
Pulling the crown too forcefully may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent bending the crown stem, please take the watch off your wrist before operating.
Operating gently will reduce the strain on the crown.
Manual winding: Rotate the crown upward while in the neutral position.
To wind the mainspring, please rotate the crown upward slowly and carefully.
Time setting: Pull out the crown and rotate it upward.
The seconds hand does not stop.
Quick-set date function: None
Condition
This watch has been fully overhauled and the exterior has been polished.
The strap has been replaced with a brand-new Morellato strap, so you can wear it with comfort.
The dial shows signs of aging with a patina and small, dot-like stains.
The hands show signs of dulling and fine scratches, and the seconds hand has discolored.
The crown operates smoothly.
Due to its age, this watch is not water-resistant.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
