商品説明
This is a 1976 Lord Marvel model with Arabic indices, featuring a rare gold-plated case.
The Lord Marvel was a high-end hand-wound wristwatch produced for approximately 20 years starting in the late 1950s.
It was positioned between the Grand Seiko and the Crown Special.
The Lord Marvel 36000 is the first Japanese-made 10-beat wristwatch.
It is a high-grade timepiece that first introduced to the commercial market the world-class high-beat technology Seiko used to achieve the historic feat of essentially topping the mechanical watch category at the 1968 Geneva Observatory competition (sweeping 4th to 10th places).
The watch is powered by the hand-wound "Cal. 5740C" movement.
Based on the Lord Marvel's "Cal. 5740B," it is a high-beat specification with the balance frequency increased to 36,000 vibrations per hour (10 beats per second).
It features a smoother second hand movement compared to previous models.
The case is gold-plated, and the stainless steel case back is of a screw-back design.
It features long lugs with a three-sided mirror finish, creating a design that makes the vertical lines appear sleek.
The dial features a silk-like pattern, with a grid-like pattern that emerges with luster depending on the angle of the light.
It is a clean, three-hand, non-date dial design.
How to operate the Caliber 5740C
Hand-winding: Rotate clockwise in the normal crown position
To wind the mainspring, please turn the crown clockwise slowly and carefully.
The winding will feel light at first, but will become heavier as it nears full tension.
Please be aware that forcing a hand-wound watch to wind once it has reached its limit will break the mainspring.
Pulling the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and pull out gently
Pulling the crown too forcefully may cause it to come out. Please pull gently.
To prevent the crown stem from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operation.
Operating gently reduces the strain on the crown.
Setting the time: Pull the crown out and rotate counter-clockwise

There is a minor chip in the black paint on the index at 5 o'clock on the dial, but it is not very noticeable.
The crystal is clean and free of prominent scratches.
The case shows minor scratches and some fading of the plating, but it remains in relatively good condition for a gold-plated piece.
There are minor scratches on the bezel and some plating loss on the 7 o'clock side.
Crown operation is smooth.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Also, please be careful of shocks and magnetism.
