Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Ref.2595 18K White Gold
This is an 18K white gold (18KWG) model of the Ref. 2595, an early re-issued model from Girard-Perregaux's iconic "Vintage 1945" collection.
This collection, inspired by archival pieces from the 1940s, was revived in 1995 and is an important model that conveys the elegant Art Deco style of the 1920s and 1930s to the present day.
Case Design and Material
The most distinctive features of this model are its unique rectangular case, which combines straight lines and curves, and its case back, which is meticulously curved to follow the wrist. To faithfully reproduce the original design codes, the Ref. 2595 was initially only released in precious metals (WG, YG, PG).
【Size Information】 The vertical length, including the lugs, is 43.5mm; the case body without lugs is 28.5mm; and the horizontal width, excluding the crown, is 28.6mm. While the horizontal width might seem modest, the ample vertical length ensures a strong presence when worn on the wrist.
This particular piece is made of 18K white gold, which emits a deep, subdued luster. While understated, it exudes a dignified and sophisticated elegance.
Dial and Movement
The dial features a silver opaline finish, characterized by a matte texture resembling fine particles. It displays soft shadows depending on the light, creating an elegant and classic ambiance. It is adorned with graceful Arabic numeral indexes and traditional railway-track minute markers.
The small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock is intricately designed, set slightly lower than the main dial, emphasizing its sophisticated three-dimensional quality. The crystal is made of sapphire, ensuring high durability and clear visibility.
The manual-winding caliber Cal.2300-519 housed within achieves a slim case while offering watch enthusiasts the "joy of winding."
We recommend this exquisite piece, which encapsulates the understated brilliance of 18K white gold and the elegance of Art Deco style, to those who seek a truly timeless classic.
Operating Instructions
Manual winding: Rotate the crown upwards in the normal position.
How to pull out the crown: Gently pull out the crown by inserting your fingernail between the case and the crown.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to detach. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist when operating it.
Gentle operation can reduce stress on the crown.
Time setting: Pull out the crown and rotate it downwards.
