商品説明
This is a manual-winding IWC (International Watch Company) model manufactured in the 1960s.
The design, with its flowing case transitioning into the lugs, is characteristic of IWC in the 1960s. Although it does not have a specific model number, it can be considered the prototype of the design later known as "Ref. 347A."
Due to years of aging, the dial has developed a unique texture, giving it the charm typical of an antique watch. The pearl dot markers on the outer edge subtly but elegantly create a distinctive personality. The mirror-finished indices emit a refined glow without being ostentatious. The handwritten "International Watch Co." logo at the 12 o'clock position is also a unique appeal of models from this era.
The movement is the manual-winding Cal. 89. It features thick, large bridges, a masterpiece known for its beautiful IWC-like appearance and ease of maintenance.
The crown, with a diameter of approximately 5mm, is easy to grip and allows for smooth winding. There is little wear on the crown, which is common in manual-winding watches, indicating its good condition.
Operating Instructions
How to pull the crown: Gently pull the crown by inserting a fingernail between the case and the crown.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to detach. Please pull gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist when operating it.
Gentle operation can reduce stress on the crown.
Manual winding: Turn the crown upwards in its normal position.
When winding the mainspring, turn the crown slowly and carefully upwards.
At the beginning of winding, the crown may feel light, but it will become heavier as it winds up.
For manual-winding watches, the mainspring will break if you force it past the winding stop. Please be careful.
Time setting: Pull the crown and turn it upwards.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
The dial has an overall patina and faint spots, but it is relatively clean given its manufacturing year.
The case shows no noticeable thinning, and the edges remain sharp.
The strap has been replaced with a new CASSIS crocodile leather strap, ensuring comfortable use.
The buckle is genuine IWC and measures 15mm in width.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof. Avoid use in humid environments (e.g., on rainy days, when washing your face, or wearing it on hot days when you sweat).
As a precision instrument, please avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts.
Also, keep it away from strong magnetic fields emitted by devices such as smartphones, PCs, or magnetic clasps on bags.
