商品説明
This is a Ref. 14926-63 SC from 1961, equipped with Omega's masterpiece hand-wound movement, the "30mm caliber."
This model is powered by the Cal. 285, a central seconds version of the 30mm caliber.
This caliber is a masterpiece from the transitional period when movements moved from traditional balance wheels with timing screws to more modern smooth balance wheels without timing screws.
The case is lavishly finished with a much thicker 80-micron gold-filled plating than typical plating. While gold-filled cases on antique watches often raise concerns about peeling, this thickness ensures it retains its beautiful luster. The case back is a snap-on type.
A major charm of this particular piece is that it retains its genuine Omega crown with the Ω mark engraved. This will satisfy those who prioritize originality.
Since it is a non-date specification, there is no hassle of adjusting the calendar, making it easy to enjoy for daily use.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
The strap is a new leather one made by Morellato (replaced), so you can use it comfortably.
The entire dial has aged to a beautiful champagne gold hue, which is a unique charm of this particular piece. While some minor spotting is visible, it adds to the charm of an antique watch.
The crystal has minor scratches that could not be completely removed by polishing, but there is no problem with time legibility.
[Precautions for Use]
As this is an old watch, it is not water-resistant. Use in environments with a lot of moisture (such as on rainy days, when washing your face, or wearing on hot days when you sweat) is strictly prohibited.
As it is a precision instrument, please be careful to avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts.
Also, please be careful not to bring it close to objects that emit strong magnetism, such as smartphones, PCs, or magnets on bag clasps.
How to Operate
Manual winding: Turn the crown upwards in its normal position.
To wind the mainspring, slowly and carefully turn the crown upwards.
The crown will feel light at the beginning of winding, but it will become heavier as it approaches full wind. For hand-wound watches, forcing the winding when it's fully wound can break the mainspring, so please do not wind it further if you feel resistance.
How to pull the crown: Gently pull it out by inserting your fingernail between the case and the crown.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come off. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown from bending and to operate it gently, always remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
Setting the time: Pull the crown and turn it downwards.
The second hand does not stop.
