This product is the IWC luxury sports model 'Yacht Club', which featured shock resistance and water resistance (at the time). To improve the shock resistance of the movement, it adopted an innovative structure where the 'inner case' housing the movement was 'suspended' within the main case by multiple rubber mounts.
This particular piece is a rare "early model" specification, where the 'inner case' is large enough to cover the rotor.

The case back is a robust screw-back type, and the crown features the 'fish logo', a mark of authenticity.

The dial features a sunray finish with fine radial lines, creating beautiful shading from the center to the outer edge, giving it a luxurious feel.
At the 12 o'clock position, it features the cursive 'International Watch Co.' inscription and the applied IWC logo, exuding a vintage elegance.

🥇 [Definitive Proof of Gold Content] Why We Obtained an IWC Official Certificate of Authenticity

Normally, for solid gold case watches, we confirm the gold content by checking the hallmarks. However, this IWC Yacht Club Ref.1911 has a unique "combination specification" with a 14K YG case body and a stainless steel case back, making it difficult to confirm the gold content via standard hallmarks.

Therefore, to obtain definitive proof of its gold content, this product was sent to the IWC headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, where an official Certificate of Authenticity was obtained from local experts. This process, which required significant time and expense, officially confirmed by IWC that the case body is 14K solid gold (585).

⚙️ Movement and Condition

The installed movement is IWC's proud Pellaton automatic winding 'Cal.8541B'. This caliber is thinner than the conventional Cal.8531 and features a quick-set date function, manual winding, and a hack second function, making it highly practical despite its vintage status.

This watch has been overhauled.

The strap has been replaced with a new one (made by Morellato), ensuring comfortable wear.
The buckle is genuine IWC (gold-plated).
The crown is genuine with the fish logo, and crown operation is smooth.

The case and case back have minor scratches, and there is a ding on the side at the 2 o'clock position. The crystal has minor scratches and linear marks, but dial legibility is good.

【Precautions Before Purchase】

As this is an old watch, it is not waterproof. Do not use it in humid environments (rainy days, while washing your face, wearing it on hot, sweaty days, etc.).
As it is a precision instrument, please be careful of drops and strong impacts.

How to Operate Caliber 8541B

Manual winding: Rotate the crown upwards in its normal position.

Time setting: Pull the crown out and rotate it upwards.

Quick-set date: Pull the crown out and move the hands back and forth between '11:45 PM and 12:00 AM' for time setting.

1) Move the hands until 12:00 AM (midnight).
　　If the date changes, it is midnight. If it doesn't change, it is noon.

2) Once you have confirmed the date has changed, move the hands back to 11:45 PM.
　　This prepares the watch to display the next day's calendar.

3) Advance the hands to 12:00 AM.
　　Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.

Repeat steps 1) to 3) to quick-set the date one day at a time.
Please operate slowly to minimize stress on the movement.
