IWC Ref. 810A, Original Fish Crown, Original Buckle, Cal. 8541B Automatic, Overhauled, Manufactured 1969

This is a 1969 IWC automatic model, Ref. 810A.

The dial features a vertical hairline finish, giving it an overall luster. This design creates beautiful linear shadows, exuding an elegant and luxurious feel characteristic of vintage IWC.

The indices are applied bar types, and the hands adopt a classical shape with a constriction at the base. At the 12 o'clock position, the cursive "International Watch Co." and "IWC" are both inscribed, creating a special vintage atmosphere.

The case is a fully polished round shape, with three-faceted lugs that enhance its sharp beauty. The crown is a valuable original IWC with the "fish symbol" engraved. Furthermore, it comes with an original IWC buckle, which is now difficult to obtain, making it a charming timepiece that strongly preserves the details of its era.

The movement equipped is the Pellaton automatic winding "Cal. 8541B." It is said to be the most practical Pellaton automatic winding movement, being thinner than conventional movements. It features a second-hand stop function, date quick-set function, and manual winding function, making it highly practical.
Although there are stains and blackening due to age on the movement and the inside of the case back, the functional aspects remain in good condition.

Condition

This watch has been overhauled and externally polished.

The strap is a new Morellato product, ensuring comfortable use.
The original IWC buckle has a width of 16mm.

The entire dial has aged, changing to a beautiful champagne gold color, which is a unique charm of this particular piece.
There is a faint crack on the bezel at the 27-minute position, but it does not interfere with wear.
The crystal has minor scratches that could not be removed by polishing, but time visibility is good.
The crown operates smoothly.

As this is an old watch, it is not waterproof. Use in humid environments (rainy days, washing face, wearing on hot days when sweating, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
As it is a precision instrument, please be careful of drops, strong impacts, and magnetism (smartphones, PCs, etc.).

How to Operate Cal. 8541B

How to pull out the crown: Press a fingernail between the case and the crown and move it like a lever.

When pulling out the crown, it's easier to push your fingernail between the crown and the case from the back.
Please remove the watch from your wrist to operate it.
Gentle operation can reduce stress on the crown and prevent it from coming out.

Manual winding: In the normal crown position, rotate upwards.

Time setting: Pull out the crown and rotate upwards.

The second hand will stop.

Date quick-set: Pull out the crown and move the time between "11:45 PM and 12:00 AM" back and forth.

1) Move the hands to 12 AM (24:00).
　　If the date changes, it's 12 AM. If it doesn't change, it's 12 PM.

2) Once you've confirmed the date has changed, move the hands back to 11:45 PM.
　　This prepares the watch to display the next day's date.

3) Advance the hands to 12 AM.
　　Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.

Repeat steps 1-3 to quick-set the date one day at a time.
Please operate slowly to reduce stress on the movement.
