商品説明
This is the 656, a classic timepiece from the 2000s that embodies Sinn's founding design philosophy of creating "watches for use." Although it is now discontinued, its rugged style and concept have been passed down to its advanced successor, the "856.B," which focuses specifically on timekeeping by omitting the UTC (dual time) function. With an exquisite 38.5mm case size that fits perfectly on the Japanese wrist, this model remains a masterpiece with a deeply rooted popularity.
Its most striking feature is its high visibility, reminiscent of aircraft instruments, with a functional, aesthetic design that emphasizes the 3, 6, 9, and 12 indices so that a pilot can grasp the time at a glance. The indices and hands are treated with luminous paint, ensuring sufficient visibility in dark conditions.
The case is crafted from bold, matte-finished stainless steel. The German inscription "MAGNETFELDGESCHUETZT" engraved on the case back literally means "protected from magnetic fields." This confirms that a soft-iron inner case is incorporated inside the watch, shielding the movement 360 degrees. This special structure achieves an overwhelming magnetic resistance of "80,000 A/m," virtually blocking the influence of smartphones, PCs, and other sources that cause magnetization.
The watch is fitted with a "HAVANNA" cowhide leather strap by the German company Di-MODELL. It is a high-quality leather strap from the same German brand as the watch itself, and it is attached with a genuine Sinn buckle. This combination accentuates its stoic impression as a professional instrument.
In terms of practicality, it features a highly airtight screw-down crown and case back. The movement is powered by the highly reliable ETA 2824-2, which includes manual winding, a hacking seconds function, and a quick-set date, making it a highly convenient model for modern lifestyles.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
As this is a pre-owned item, there is no water resistance guarantee, but the screw-down action of the crown is in good condition.
While slight surface scratches, visible only at certain angles, can be seen on the crystal, there are no deep scratches, and timekeeping remains unobstructed.
The crown threads are very delicate parts, so we recommend handling them slowly and carefully finding the correct engagement point without applying excessive force.
Operation
Unlocking the crown: Rotate downward from the neutral position.
The screw-down condition of the crown is good. When screwing the crown back in, we recommend searching carefully for the thread engagement point to avoid stripping the threads, and tightening it slowly.
Manual Winding: Unlock the crown and rotate upward.
Time Setting: Pull the crown out to the second click and rotate downward (the second hand stops in this position).
Quick-set Date: Pull the crown out to the first click and rotate upward.
Using the quick-set function while the watch hands are between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM may cause a malfunction.
We recommend setting the time to around 6 o'clock before performing a quick-set operation.
