商品説明
This is a 56 King Seiko Chronometer manufactured in 1972.
The 56 King Seiko Chronometer was the first Japanese-made automatic watch to receive "Chronometer Official Certification."
This official certification allowed the watch to be recognized as a chronometer of international standard, and "CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" was officially inscribed on the dial.
The case features a one-piece construction with an integrated case back to enhance water resistance.
An external fine-adjustment device is equipped between the lugs at the 5 o'clock position on the case.
The dial has a radial finish, creating beautiful gradations depending on the angle of light.
The silver dial of Ref. 5626-7040 has a black second hand.
While many King Seiko models have silver second hands, the adoption of a black second hand in this model significantly enhances time legibility.
The movement features a high-beat mechanism with 28,800 vibrations per hour (8 beats).
It is equipped with a hacking function (second hand stop function) and a calendar function (with quick-set), offering excellent practicality.
This model is appealing for its thick, robust lugs and case, as well as its high legibility and functionality.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior polished.
The strap has been replaced with a new genuine SEIKO strap, so you can wear it immediately after purchase.
The crown is genuine with "KS" engraving, and its operation is smooth.
The crystal has no noticeable scratches, and legibility is good.
As can be seen in the magnified image, the dial retains very clear and sharp printing. For a vintage watch over 50 years old, it is in extremely good condition.
As this is an old watch, it is not water-resistant. Do not use it in damp environments (e.g., on rainy days, when washing your face, or on hot, sweaty days).
Furthermore, as it is a precision instrument, please be careful of strong impacts such as drops, and magnetic fields (e.g., smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets).
How to Operate
Manual Winding: Rotate the crown upwards in its normal position.
Time Setting: Pull the crown out two clicks and rotate downwards.
The second hand stops when the crown is pulled out two clicks.
Quick Date Set: Pull the crown out one click and rotate downwards.
Quick Day Set: Pull the crown out one click and rotate upwards.
Do not use the quick-set function when the watch indicates between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this may cause damage.
It is recommended to set the time to around 6 AM before using the quick-set function.
