商品説明
This is a 1963 stainless steel "Lord Marvel".
The Lord Marvel, production of which began in May 1958, was a top-tier model that was an upgraded and more precise version of the Marvel.
The movement's jewel count was increased to 23 jewels, and elaborate finishes were applied to the movement's appearance, such as engraving and mirror-polishing the ratchet wheel and other components.
All these techniques were passed on to the Grand Seiko, which began production in 1960.
The dial features a rare vertical hairline finish as its base, with the outer circumference of the dial (minute scale area) painted white, creating a subtle two-tone (sector) dial.
The contrast between the rugged hairline and the clean outer perimeter gives an intellectual impression, and the three-dimensionality and sharpness of the AD indexes stand out, making for a highly designed appearance.
The case is made of stainless steel.
It has long lugs with a three-sided mirror finish.
The design makes the vertical lines appear smart.
The case back is a flat type, which fits well on the wrist and is comfortable to wear.
Since there is no calendar, operation is simple and easy to handle, making it suitable for those getting their first antique watch.
Recommended for those looking for a piece with a hairline dial that gives an intellectual impression.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and exterior polished.
The strap has been replaced with a new genuine SEIKO leather strap (cowhide), ensuring a pleasant wearing experience.
The crown is the original S-marked crown from that period.
The crystal has no noticeable scratches and maintains clear visibility.
On the dial, there is a slight bulge near the 5 o'clock index, possibly due to the dial feet, but there is little discoloration or staining, and the texture of the hairline finish is well-preserved.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof. Avoid use in humid environments.
As it is a precision instrument, please be careful of drops and strong impacts.
Also, please keep it away from strong magnetic fields emitted by smartphones, PCs, bag clasps, and other similar items.
Operation
Manual winding: Rotate the crown upwards in the normal position
How to pull the crown: Gently pull the crown by inserting a fingernail between the case and the crown.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist when operating it.
Gentle operation can reduce stress on the crown.
Setting the time: Pull the crown and rotate it downwards.
