Tissot Seastar Visodate 42520 41520 Original Mesh Bracelet Cal.782-1 Hand-wound Overhauled 1969 Tissot

This is a VISODATE Seastar from Tissot, a long-established brand founded in 1853.

This is a vintage model manufactured around 1969. It's a typical Tissot piece from that era, with two references, "42520-2X" and "41520," engraved on the inside of the case back.

With a comfortable case width of 33.8mm, the watch features a screw-back case that provides excellent airtightness.
The case and bezel have a mirror finish, and its elegant design, though simple, retains the high quality of the time.
The crown is a valuable genuine Tissot, with the "T" logo clearly preserved.

The dial features a beautiful sunray finish. Over time, it has gracefully changed to a soft, champagne-gold hue, exuding an elegant charm unique to vintage pieces that cannot be replicated by modern watches.
At the 12 o'clock position, an applied brand logo with a silver outline is placed, acting as an accent that enhances the overall luxurious feel of the dial.

Condition

This watch has been overhauled and its exterior refinished.

There are fine scratches on the crystal (plastic) that could not be completely removed by polishing, but they do not impair visibility, and the watch is in very clean condition with no noticeable scratches overall.

The bracelet is a rare genuine Tissot mesh type. The size can be adjusted by moving the spring bar using the 7 adjustment holes on the side of the buckle.
(A spring bar tool is required for adjustment. Compatible wrist sizes: maximum approx. 176mm / minimum approx. 158mm)

Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof. Avoid environments with high moisture (rainy days, washing face, wearing on hot days when sweating, etc.).
Also, as it is a precision instrument, please be careful of drops, strong impacts, and magnetism (smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets, etc.).

How to Operate

The crown has a comfortable diameter of 4.9mm, making it easy to grasp with fingertips and ensuring smooth winding.

Manual Winding: Rotate the crown upwards in its normal position.

Time Setting: Pull the crown out one click and rotate it downwards (there is no hacking function for the second hand).

Quick Date Setting: With the crown pulled out, advance the hands back and forth between '9:30 PM and 12:05 AM' as if setting the time.

1. Advance the hands to 12:05 AM and confirm the date changes.
2. Immediately after the date changes, rotate the hands backward to around 9:30 PM.
3. Advance the hands forward again to 12:05 AM, and the date will advance by one day.

Repeat this back-and-forth operation to advance the date one day at a time.
*To minimize stress on the movement, operate slowly and gently.
