Seiko Lord Matic First Model 5606-7000 No LM Logo Original Bracelet 192mm Wrist OH 1968

This is an early model of Seiko's semi-luxury "Lord Matic," manufactured in 1968.
The Lord Matic series was launched as a luxury watch positioned next to Grand Seiko and King Seiko, captivating watch enthusiasts of the time.

This particular piece features the "early model" specifications, which were only seen at its debut in 1968.
The simple dial, without the "LM" logo that would be adopted later at the 6 o'clock position, gives it a very refined and sophisticated impression.

It features a "one-piece case" where the case and case back are integrated.
The "WATER PROOF" engraving on the case back indicates its high waterproof performance for that era.

The case design is sharp with diagonally cut edges, giving it a very powerful form.
The dial has a radial finish, emitting an elegant sheen depending on the angle.

The bracelet is also a valuable genuine item.
The buckle is an early type, featuring only the "SEIKO" engraving, with a meticulous construction that is polished in the center and brushed on the sides. The polished parts of the 5-link bracelet and the buckle design are beautifully harmonious, allowing you to enjoy the unique integrated feel of an original from this era.

It is equipped with the automatic movement "Cal.5606".
With manual winding function, hack function, date and day display, two-country day display (Japanese/English), and quick-set calendar function, it is a highly practical model even today.

Condition

This watch has been overhauled and its exterior polished.

The bracelet is a rare genuine early type.
It can accommodate wrist sizes up to a maximum of 192mm.
While most vintage genuine bracelets have had links removed and are shortened due to age, this one is in a very rare condition with a sufficient length remaining, exceeding 19cm. Even those with thicker wrists can use it with peace of mind.

Regarding the condition of the crystal, there is a small dent near the corner at the 10 o'clock position, and other fine scratches remain that could not be completely removed by polishing. While it does not impair visibility, to maintain its original shape, excessive polishing was avoided, and emphasis was placed on preserving its character during finishing.

Due to its age, it is not waterproof.
Avoid humid environments (rainy days, face washing, wearing on hot days when you sweat, etc.) strictly.
Also, as it is a precision instrument, please be very careful about drops, strong impacts, and magnetism (smartphones, PCs, speakers, magnets in bags, etc.).

How to Operate

Manual Winding: Turn the crown upwards in the normal position

Time Setting: Pull the crown out two clicks and turn downwards

The second hand stops when pulled out two clicks.

Date Quick-Set: Pull the crown out one click and turn downwards
Day Quick-Set: Pull the crown out one click and turn upwards (changes from English to Japanese)

Operating the quick-set when the watch is pointing between '9 PM and 3 AM' can cause damage.
To perform the quick-set safely, we highly recommend setting the time to around 6 AM/PM first.
