商品説明
This is a 1970 56 King Seiko Chronometer.
The 56 King Seiko Chronometer was the first Japanese-made automatic winding model to receive official chronometer certification.
This official certification meant it met global chronometer standards, and as a result, "CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED" was formally inscribed on its dial.
To enhance water resistance, the case is a one-piece design with an integrated case back.
Its flowing C-line (tonneau-shaped) form is beautiful, a representative case design of vintage Seikos.
The case features an external fine adjustment device at the 5 o'clock position.
The rear still has a beautifully preserved KS gold medallion with "CHRONOMETER" inscribed.
The dial has a sunray finish, creating a beautiful gradient depending on the angle of light.
The movement is equipped with a 28,800 vibrations per hour (8 beats) high-beat movement.
It features manual winding, a hacking seconds hand, day-date display, and a quick-set day-date function, offering high practicality.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior polished.
The case retains its original sharp edges and hairline finish, giving it a very clean overall impression.
There are very minor signs of aging (discoloration) on the edge of the dial, but they are not noticeable when worn, and legibility remains excellent.
The strap is a new genuine Seiko strap, ensuring a pleasant wearing experience.
The crown features the KS mark.
As this is an old watch, it is not water resistant. Strict caution is advised against using it in wet environments (rainy days, washing face, wearing on hot days where you sweat heavily, etc.).
Also, as it is a precision instrument, please be very careful about strong impacts such as dropping, and magnetic fields (smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets, etc.).
How to operate
Manual winding: Rotate the crown upwards in the normal position.
Time setting: Pull the crown out two clicks and rotate it downwards.
The seconds hand stops in the two-click position.
Date quick-set: Pull the crown out one click and rotate it downwards.
Day quick-set: Pull the crown out one click and rotate it upwards.
Performing the quick-set operation when the watch is indicating "9 PM to 3 AM" will cause damage.
It is recommended to set the time to around 6 AM/PM before performing the quick-set operation.
