商品説明
This is a late-production model of the "61 Grand Seiko" manufactured in 1969.
The 61 Grand Seiko, introduced in 1967, was the first domestically produced 10-beat automatic wristwatch in Japan.
It features a next-generation automatic winding mechanism, as Seiko successfully adapted its proprietary "Magic Lever" ratcheting system to handle 36,000 vibrations per hour.
With a hack function (second-hand stop), quick-set date, and manual winding, it is an exceptionally practical model.
The rotor features a "ripple" finish, and other parts are carefully polished, evoking the dignity unique to Grand Seiko timepieces of that era.
The "Magic Lever" ratcheting system is a mechanism that winds the mainspring by converting the rotational movement of the rotor into the lateral movement of a lever (pawl).
It is characterized by higher winding efficiency compared to gear-based winding mechanisms.
Because it has fewer parts, it is also highly durable, making it an excellent mechanism that many manufacturers have adopted in recent years.
This particular piece is a late model of the 61GS. It features "HI BEAT 36000" printed at the 6 o'clock position on the dial.
The automatic winding rotor is engraved with "SEIKO".
The gold medallion on the case back features the "GS" and "Suwa" marks.
In addition to the hack function (second-hand stop) and manual winding, it also features a highly practical quick-set date function.
While some 61GS models include both date and day displays, the 6145-8000 displays only the date, allowing for simple operation.
We recommend this piece for those looking for a date-only model.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior finished.
The crown operation is smooth, and the automatic rotor functions normally.
Please enjoy the unique manual-winding feel and rotor sound of the 61GS as a mechanical delight unique to high-beat and Magic Lever movements.
The strap has been replaced with a new (genuine) one, ensuring a comfortable fit.
The crown is an original, valuable piece featuring the GS mark.
The crystal remains in beautiful condition with only light scuffs.
The entire dial has aged over time to a beautiful champagne-gold hue, which is a unique charm of this specific piece.
As this is a vintage watch, it is not water-resistant. Wearing it in environments exposed to moisture (such as on rainy days, while washing your face, or on hot, sweaty days) is strictly prohibited.
As this is a precision instrument, please be careful to avoid drops and strong impacts.
Also, please ensure it is kept away from sources of strong magnetism, such as smartphones, PCs, and magnetic clasps on bags.
Operation
Manual Winding: Rotate clockwise in the normal crown position
Pulling the Crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and pull out gently
Pulling the crown too forcefully may cause it to come out. Please pull gently.
To prevent the crown stem from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operation.
Operating it gently will reduce stress on the crown.
Time Setting: Pull the crown to the second click and rotate counter-clockwise
The second hand stops when the crown is at the second click
Quick-set Date: Pull the crown to the first click and rotate clockwise
Operating the quick-set while the watch hands are between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM will cause a malfunction.
We recommend setting the time to around 6 o'clock before performing the quick-set operation.
