The "Grand Prix Orient Special" began production in the early 1960s (around 1961).
The Grand Prix Orient Special is the first-generation model of Orient's top-of-the-line "Grand Prix Orient."
The movement features 25 jewels. The "5 ADJUSTED" engraving on the bridge is a special high-end specification that signifies it as the company's flagship model.
The case is made of stainless steel (SS), giving it a smart appearance.
The dial features a sunray finish that creates a beautiful gradation depending on the angle of the light, as well as ultra-fine concentric pattern embossing across the surface, reminiscent of record grooves.
It features a cursive logo, wedge-shaped indices, and pearl dots placed around the outer perimeter of the indices.
The dial design exudes a sense of luxury, reminiscent of vintage IWC or Patek Philippe Calatrava models.
This is a rare piece with low circulation.

Condition
This watch has been serviced (overhauled).
While the dial maintains a beautiful overall texture, there are minor spots and marks due to aging. They are at a level that you can enjoy as part of the unique character of a vintage watch, but please check the images for details.
The case has light scratches and marks from daily use, but retains its original proportions well.
The strap has been replaced with a brand new MORELLATO strap, so you can wear it with comfort.
The crown is the original, highly valuable version with the "ORIENT" engraving still intact.
As this is a vintage watch from an older era, it is not water-resistant. Please avoid wearing it on rainy days, during the rainy season, or in the summer.
