商品説明
This is a 14K gold-filled "Lord Marvel (Ref. 15023E)" manufactured in August 1963.
The Lord Marvel, which began production in May 1958, is the top-tier model that enhanced the luxury and precision of the Marvel.
The movement's jewel count was increased from 17 to 23.
The movement features intricate detailing, such as engraved and mirror-finished ratchet wheels and polished screws.
All of these techniques were subsequently inherited by the Grand Seiko, which began production in 1960.
This particular piece retains the distinguished elegance characteristic of luxury models from that era, featuring a beautiful cursive logo and multi-faceted, three-dimensional indices.
The dial is finished with a vertical satin hairline texture.
The case is 14K gold-filled. It features long lugs with a three-sided mirror finish, a design that makes the vertical lines appear sleek. While early Lord Marvel models had a rounded case back, this one features a flat case back, providing a better fit on the wrist for improved comfort.
As it does not have a calendar, there is no need for date adjustments, making operation simple and user-friendly.
Highly recommended for those looking for an elegant vintage watch.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
The strap has been replaced with a brand new genuine Seiko leather strap, allowing you to use it with confidence.
● Case and Exterior
There are scuffs and minor scratches consistent with its age throughout the watch.
The lower right lug has some slight distortion (a slight inward bend) from past use.
The crown is in good condition with no wear. Operation, including winding, is extremely smooth.
● Dial and Crystal
The dial shows uniform discoloration and spot-like blemishes due to aging.
Additionally, there is one inconspicuous, tiny dot-like dent (nicks) to the left (inside) of the 5 o'clock index.
The crystal has minor scratches that could not be fully removed by polishing. The dial remains generally easy to read.
As this is a vintage watch, it is not waterproof. Do not use it in environments where it may be exposed to moisture (such as on rainy days, while washing your face, or when sweating on hot days).
Additionally, as it is a precision instrument, please be careful to avoid strong impacts such as drops and keep it away from magnets (smartphones, PCs, speakers, magnetic bag clasps, etc.).
Operating Instructions
Manual Winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in its normal position.
How to pull out the crown: Carefully insert your fingernail between the case and the crown to gently pull it out.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent bending the crown, please remove the watch from your wrist before operation.
Operating with care will reduce strain on the crown.
Time Adjustment: Pull out the crown and rotate counter-clockwise.
The second hand does not stop (no hacking function).
