商品説明
This is a 1960s Citizen Homer Date (Ref. I-51207a).
This is a highly practical model that adds a date display to the "Homer," one of the most popular and representative Citizen watches of the 1960s.
This particular piece features an "engine-turned bezel" with fine detailing, giving it the appearance of a higher-grade dress watch despite its middle-class standing. The stainless steel case employs a screw-back design with a substantial, well-balanced feel.
Due to aging, the dial has developed a beautiful, warm champagne gold hue. It remains in excellent condition with no significant damage, allowing you to fully enjoy the unique character that only a vintage watch can offer.
Another distinct feature is the cyclops lens on the inside of the crystal, which magnifies the date.
The case back features the highly rare "Cherub with Bow" medallion. The fact that this remains in clean condition with minimal wear is a point that vintage enthusiasts will surely appreciate.
The crown is designed for easy operation, making this watch recommended even for those new to manual-winding timepieces.
Condition
This watch has been fully overhauled.
The exterior has been cleaned and polished, though the iconic engine-turned bezel shows signs of discoloration, peeling, and degradation in its plating due to age. Please enjoy these as authentic vintage characteristics.
Additionally, the case and lugs retain some minor dings and scratches typical of a vintage item, though none are deep enough to detract from the overall aesthetic.
The strap has been replaced with a brand-new CASSIS cowhide leather strap, so it is ready to be worn and enjoyed immediately upon purchase.
As this is a vintage item that was manufactured a long time ago, please treat it as "non-waterproof."
Please be especially careful on rainy days or when washing your hands. Furthermore, as this is a precision instrument, please avoid strong impacts and magnetic fields (such as smartphones, PC speakers, etc.) during use.
Operating Instructions
Manual Winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in its normal position.
Time Setting: Pull the crown out and rotate counter-clockwise.
Does not feature a second-hand stop (hacking) function.
Quick Date Change: Pull the crown out and move the hands back and forth between "8:30 PM and 12:00 AM."
1) Move the hands forward until the date changes to confirm it is midnight (12:00 AM). If it doesn't change, it is noon.
2) Advance the hands until the date changes at 12:00 AM. Then, turn the hands back to 8:30 PM.
3) Move the hands forward to 12:00 AM again.
Verify that the date has advanced by one day.
Repeat this process to advance the date one day at a time.
To reduce stress on the movement, please operate slowly.
