商品説明
This is the "Dynamic Auto 45 Jewels," the top-of-the-line Ricoh model from that era.
It features a higher jewel count than the "Dynamic Auto 33 Jewels," which was Japan's first 33-jewel wristwatch, by adding 12 rubies to the rotor axis to reach 45 jewels.
The Dynamic Auto was priced at 9,500 yen (33 jewels, gold-plated case) and 13,500 yen (45 jewels, gold-plated case) at a time when the starting salary for a university graduate was 15,700 yen.
As it set a trend for manufacturers to compete in developing high-jewel models, it can be considered a masterpiece in the history of Japanese wristwatches.
The dial has a sunburst finish, and the multi-faceted indices are mirror-finished, creating an elegant shine.
Considering its age, the dial is in excellent condition and maintains high legibility.
The gold dauphine hands have a sharp design.
The case is gold-plated, and the case back is stainless steel.
With a case width of 36.3mm and a lug-to-lug length of 44.9mm, it is slightly larger than typical Japanese vintage watches from the 1960s, offering a solid presence.
The lugs are elongated, resulting in a stylish balance that sits comfortably on the wrist while providing a distinct sense of presence.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
The crystal has been polished and is in beautiful condition.
The strap has been replaced with a brand-new CASSIS genuine leather strap (with CASSIS buckle), so it is ready for comfortable use.
The crown is original Ricoh equipment and features the 'R' logo.
As this is a vintage watch, it is not water-resistant. Do not wear it in high-moisture environments (such as rainy days, while washing your face, or on hot days when you may sweat).
Because it is a precision instrument, please be careful to avoid drops or strong impacts. Also, keep it away from objects that emit strong magnetism, such as smartphones, PCs, and bag fasteners.
Operation Guide
Manual Winding: With the crown in the normal position, rotate upwards.
Pulling the Crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown to gently pull it out.
Pulling the crown too forcefully may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent the crown stem from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Operating gently will reduce the strain on the crown.
Time Setting: Pull the crown out and rotate downwards.
The second hand does not stop
Date Quick-set: Pull the crown out and toggle between "9 PM and 12 AM" while setting the time.
1) Advance the hands until midnight (24:00).
If the date changes, it is midnight. If it does not, it is noon.
2) Move the hands to 24:00 to advance to the next date. Then, turn the hands back to 21:00 (9 PM).
3) Advance the hands to 24:00 again.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
By repeating this process, you can advance the date one day at a time.
Please operate slowly to reduce the strain on the movement.
