The dial is a blue grid pattern with delicate intersecting vertical and horizontal lines.
The watch features a distinctive fluted bezel.
A fan-shaped day calendar frame is positioned at 12 o'clock, with a date display at 3 o'clock.
The days of the week are displayed in English, with numbers (1–7) printed alongside each day, starting with "1" for Monday (the numbers do not move independently).
At the 12 o'clock position is an applied "RICOH" logo, along with "DYNAMIC WIDE" and "AUTOMATIC" printing. At the 6 o'clock position, it is printed with "SHOCKPROTECTED" and "21JEWELS".
The case is made of stainless steel with a screw-down case back.
It comes equipped with its original bracelet.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been refinished.
The crown is original to Ricoh and features the "R" logo.
There are some light scuffs and scratches on the surface of the acrylic crystal that could not be removed during polishing. Notably, there is a linear scratch near the 7 o'clock position (see images). While visible at certain angles, it does not impair the overall visibility of the dial.
The bracelet is original and can fit a wrist up to 180mm.
Vertical scratches and dents, likely caused by past bracelet changes, are visible on the case sides (at 12 and 6 o'clock) inside the lugs where the end links attach. These areas are completely hidden when the end links are attached.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to moisture (such as on rainy days, while washing your face, or during hot weather when you may sweat).
Additionally, as this is a precision instrument, please be careful to avoid drops, strong impacts, and magnetism (smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets, etc.).
Operation
How to pull the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and pull gently.
Pulling the crown too forcefully may cause it to come out; please pull gently.
This model features a quick-set date function by pulling the crown to the second click. Please operate with care to avoid accidentally pulling to the second click when trying to set the time (first click).
To prevent bending the crown, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Operating gently will reduce strain on the crown.
Manual winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in the normal position.
Setting the time: Pull the crown to the first click and rotate counter-clockwise.
The second hand does not stop.
Quick-set date: Pull the crown to the second click.
To advance the date continuously, repeatedly move the crown between the second and first click positions.
Using the quick-set function while the watch hands are between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM may cause damage.
We recommend setting the time to around 6:00 before using the quick-set function.
Quick-set day: No quick-set function. Please advance the days by rotating the hands through the time-setting position one day at a time.
