商品説明

This is a 1963 Seiko Cronos Special.

The Seiko Cronos was developed as a model to surpass the Marvel (produced at the Suwa factory), which had achieved overwhelming sales success.
With a design unique to the Kameido factory, its basic structure and the shape of its bridges were later inherited by the King Seiko.

The Cronos Special is a high-end model developed based on the King Seiko 1st, released in 1961.
It is known as a highly rare model due to its short production period and limited circulation.

The movement is the Cal. 810 (23 jewels), developed based on the design philosophy and structure of the King Seiko (J14102E).
It features meticulous craftsmanship typical of a high-end watch, including the same balance wheel beat adjuster used in the King Seiko.
A major visual characteristic is that it adopts the "C-curve" bridge shape used in the King Seiko, rather than the "S-curve" typically seen in standard Cronos models.

The dial features a sunburst finish, creating beautiful shadows depending on the angle of the light.
Due to aging, it has developed a tone close to champagne gold, offering the wonderful atmosphere unique to an antique watch.
The cursive logo at the 12 o'clock position exudes elegance.
At the 6 o'clock side, it is engraved with "Diashock 23jewels" and the AD dial mark (indicating a high-end specification of gold-plated brass).
The design combines simple three-hand styling with bold dauphine hands, giving it a strong presence.

The case features an 80-micron thick gold-filled (ALL GOLD FILLED) specification.
Because the gold layer is thicker than standard gold plating, it is resistant to peeling and can be used for many years.

With a case diameter of 35.9mm and a thickness of 10.3mm, it has a comfortable size, making it perfect for those looking for an elegant antique watch.

Condition

This watch has been overhauled.

The strap has been replaced with a new (genuine) one, so you can enjoy it with peace of mind.

The dial shows light staining overall and a faint scratch at the 3 o'clock position, but these do not impair visibility.
The case has minor scratches, but remains in good condition considering its age.
Although the crown shows wear from aging, the winding operation is smooth.
The crystal is in beautiful condition without any noticeable deep scratches.

As this is a vintage watch, it is not waterproof. Do not use it in environments exposed to moisture (such as on rainy days, while washing your face, or when sweating on hot days).
Additionally, as it is a precision instrument, please be careful to avoid strong impacts such as drops, and exposure to magnetism (smartphones, PCs, speakers, bag magnets, etc.).

Operation Instructions

Manual Winding: Rotate the crown upward while in the normal position.

To wind the mainspring, turn the crown slowly and carefully in the upward direction.
It will feel light at the beginning, but will become firmer as it is wound.
Please be careful not to force the crown when it is fully wound, as this could snap the mainspring.

How to Pull the Crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and pull gently.

Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out; please pull gently.
To prevent the crown from bending, please remove the watch from your wrist before operation.
By operating it gently, you can reduce the strain on the crown.

Setting the Time: Pull the crown and rotate it downward.

The second hand does not stop.
