商品説明
This is the second model of the Grand Seiko, the pinnacle of domestic watchmaking.
This specific piece is an early model featuring the "Lion Medallion" on the case back and an AD dial specification, making it a rare find with low production numbers even among second models.
The second model of the Grand Seiko began production in 1964, four years after the first model.
Compared to the first model, a date display (with quick-set function) was added.
It adopts a screw-down case back, achieving a 50m water-resistant rating (at the time of manufacture),
improving its practicality.
The case is made of stainless steel.
The lugs were designed to be thicker for improved durability, giving it a strong presence.
The dial is of the early type, with the Grand Seiko Diashock 35 jewels and AD dial logo printed at the 6 o'clock position.
(The late type features the GS logo instead.)
The dial has a sunray finish, while the hands and indices are multi-faceted and mirror-finished, emitting an elegant shine.
The movement is equipped with the manual-winding "Cal.430."
The crown is 5.5mm in diameter, making it large and easy to grip with your fingers, so it is also recommended for those who are new to manual-winding watches.
How to operate Caliber 430
How to pull the crown: Insert your fingernail between the case and the crown and pull gently.
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out; please pull it gently.
To prevent bending the crown, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating it.
By operating it gently, you can reduce the strain on the crown.
Manual winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in the normal position.
Time setting: Pull the crown out to the second click and rotate counter-clockwise (the second hand will stop).
Date quick-set: Pull the crown out to the first click and rotate counter-clockwise.
While the quick-set function is convenient, operating it while the watch hands are between "9 PM and 2 AM" will cause a malfunction.
We recommend setting the time to around 6 o'clock before using the quick-set function.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and professionally refinished by our store and is ready for immediate use.
The leather strap has been replaced with a brand-new genuine alligator strap, ensuring a comfortable wearing experience.
The crown is original and features the W SEIKO logo.
Many second-model crowns are worn out or have been replaced with different ones, but this piece maintains its original form with the "W SEIKO" crown.
There are minor scratches on the case and case back.
The gold medallion on the back is in good condition without any noticeable damage.
There is some corrosion on the index at the 12 o'clock position of the dial, but otherwise, there are no noticeable scratches or stains.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
