This is a manual-winding wristwatch by Vacheron Constantin in 18K white gold.
A model from the 1970s (estimated), featuring a slim, round 18K white gold case with a domed crystal.
Hallmarks are engraved on the inside of the case back.
The bezel is finished with a delicate hairline texture, giving it an elegant appearance.
The dial features a matte (pebbled) finish with fine granular projections, combined with a polished finish.
The brand's iconic 'Maltese Cross' logo is applied at the 12 o'clock position, with 'SWISS' printed at the edge of the 6 o'clock position.
The bar indices, ultra-slim two-hand display, and elegant bezel decoration come together to create a refined dress watch.
It is powered by Caliber 1014, which was designed for slimness and features no second hand.
This movement is based on the Jaeger-LeCoultre Cal. 818, and incorporates a 'Flower KIF' shock protection system, identifiable by its flower-shaped spring.
Taking advantage of its thinness, it was manufactured as the primary caliber for high-end dress watches housed in solid gold cases.
Operating Instructions for Caliber 1014
Manual winding: Rotate clockwise in the normal crown position.
Operating the crown: To pull out the crown, insert a fingernail between the case and the crown from the back.
Because the crown is partially recessed into the case, it may be difficult to pull out until you are accustomed to it.
Please be careful, as pulling the crown with excessive force may cause it to come out entirely.
Setting the time: Pull out the crown and rotate it clockwise.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished by our shop.
The strap has been replaced with a new Di-Modell brand strap, so you can wear it with comfort.
There are linear marks and small spots of discoloration near the 12 and 6 o'clock indices on the dial, but it remains in beautiful condition considering its age.
The crystal has minor scratches that could not be removed during polishing.
There are dot-like marks and light scratches near the edge between 12 and 1 o'clock and at the 9–10 o'clock positions, as well as light scuffs near the 6 o'clock position.
The crown is original and features the Maltese Cross logo.
This watch was originally non-waterproof. Please be particularly careful to avoid moisture when wearing it.
