This is Rado's iconic model, the "Diastar."
The "Diastar" is a series that is still in production today, gaining popularity around the 1960s for its use of "hardmetal," which boasts high durability.
The dial color of this model is blue, but it can appear purple depending on the viewing angle.
Combined with the cut glass, the luster is beautiful.
At the 12 o'clock position on the dial, there is Rado's brand symbol, the "anchor mark (which moves)."
At the 6 o'clock position, there is a date and day display.
The crown also features an anchor mark.
The bracelet is genuine Rado and can accommodate a wrist size of up to 205mm.
How to operate
When operating the crown, please unlock the screw-down mechanism first.
After operation, make sure to screw it down securely.
Unscrewing the crown: Rotate downwards from the normal crown position.
The crown screws down well.
When screwing down the crown, we recommend carefully finding the correct position to screw it in and doing so slowly, to avoid damaging the threads.
Manual winding: Rotate upwards from the normal crown position.
Time setting: Pull the crown out two clicks and rotate.
The second hand stops
Quick date change: Pull the crown out one click and rotate upwards.
Quick day change: Pull the crown out one click and rotate downwards (English → Spanish → English).
Operating the quick change function when the watch indicates "9 PM to 2 AM" will cause damage.
If you need to use the quick change, it is recommended to set the time to around 6 AM/PM first.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled by our store.
It was purchased in 2019, and the glass and dial are in clean condition with no noticeable scratches.
The case has some scuffs on the stainless steel parts and a small scratch on the side of the upper right lug, but overall it is in good condition.
The crown screws down without issue.
When screwing down the crown, we recommend carefully finding the correct position to screw it in and doing so slowly to avoid damaging the threads.
