This is a Green Horse from Rado's Horse series.
The Horse series was launched with three models: the Golden Horse, Green Horse, and Purple Horse.
They gained popularity as Swiss-made automatic (with hand-winding mechanism) and waterproof case (by the standards of the time) models.
Among them, the Green Horse is a rare model with low circulation.
The dial and case back feature a seahorse, the icon of the waterproof case.
The Green Horse dial is characterized by a green seahorse.
The seahorse logo on the case back is designed to occupy most of the case back surface.
It is finished with an attractive design that combines mirror polishing and embossing.
Although it is engraved with "Water-Sealed," please treat it as non-waterproof due to the age of the watch.
The 12 o'clock position on the dial features Rado's brand symbol, the anchor mark. (It rotates to change orientation.)
Instead of standard bar indices, it uses unusual wedge-shaped indices.
How to Operate
Hand-winding: Rotate upward while the crown is in the normal position.
Setting the Time: Pull the crown out and rotate upward.
The second hand does not stop.
Date Quick-set: Pull the crown out and move the hands back and forth between 8:30 PM and 12:00 AM.
1) Advance the hands until 12:00 midnight.
If the date changes, it is 12:00 midnight. If it does not, it is 12:00 noon.
2) Once you have confirmed the date has changed, move the hands back to 8:30 PM.
This prepares the watch to display the next day's calendar.
3) Advance the hands to 12:00 midnight.
Confirm that the date has advanced by one day.
By repeating steps 1) through 3), you can quick-set the date one day at a time.
Please operate slowly to reduce the burden on the movement.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been finished.
The bracelet is a genuine Rado part and can accommodate a wrist circumference of up to 180mm (including extension plate).
The bracelet shows signs of wear, and there is slack in both the links and the end links.
The crown is a genuine Rado part and features the anchor mark.
The crystal has minor scratches that could not be polished out.The date lens is attached on the inside.
The bezel has a faint crack on the 8 o'clock side.
This does not interfere with wearing the watch.
The dial shows signs of aging, stains, and discoloration on the indices, calendar frame, and seahorse logo.
The anchor mark moves.
The hands have scratches and dullness.
Due to its age, it is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Please also be careful of magnetism and impact.
