商品説明
This is the second model of the top-tier domestic Grand Seiko (57GS), and is a highly rare 18k solid gold model.
The second Grand Seiko model began production in 1964, four years after the first.
Compared to the first model, a date display (with quick-set function) was added.
It features a screw-down screw-back case design, achieving 50m water resistance (at the time of manufacture).
The lugs were designed to be thicker, improving durability and providing a strong presence.
This particular piece was made in 1964, and the dial is the early-type with the Chronometer notation.
The golden case of the second model with a Chronometer dial is exclusive to the early-type solid gold 5722-9000, making it exceptionally special.
(The cap-gold 5722-9010 did not begin production until 1966, so none of them have dials with Chronometer notation.)
The mirror-finished, multi-faceted hour and minute hands and indices emit an elegant glow.
The movement is the Cal.5722B, which has passed the GS standard (Seiko's own performance standard).
This is a special piece that combines rarity with a beautiful appearance.
How to operate the Cal.5722B
Manual winding: Rotate clockwise while the crown is in the normal position.
Time setting: Pull the crown out to the second click and rotate counter-clockwise.
Date quick-set: Pull the crown out to the first click and rotate counter-clockwise.
Performing the quick-set operation while the watch indicates a time between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM may cause damage.
We recommend setting the time to around 6:00 before performing the quick-set operation.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
The crown and crystal have been replaced with new original parts, and the watch is in clean condition with no noticeable scratches.
The leather strap has been replaced with a brand new original, so you can wear it with comfort.
The dial has some small stains and light scuffs, but is relatively clean for its age.
The case has minor scratches and pin-point marks.
The lugs show some wear (due to the use of a third-party bracelet).
The case back has faint marks from a third-party engraving. (Please refer to the 4th image.)
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Also, please be careful of shocks and magnetism.
