This is the second model of the King Seiko, the non-date "44-9990" introduced in 1964.
King Seiko is a series that, along with Seiko's top-of-the-line "Grand Seiko," occupies the highest position, and was manufactured until the 1970s.
The second model is equipped with a hacking function (second hand stop mechanism), which was omitted in the first model.
The use of a screw-in screw-back on the back of the case improves practicality. (Stainless steel models only)
This particular piece has a redone charcoal gray dial. (Not performed by our shop)
The medallion on the case back of the second model underwent gradual design changes.
Initially, the King Seiko "shield mark" was used, and around 1967, it was changed to a simple design with only "SEIKO" written on it.
This piece is a final model manufactured in 1968, featuring the Kameido (Daini Seikosha) mark below the SEIKO logo.
Operation
Manual winding: With the crown in the normal position, rotate upwards
How to pull the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and pull it out gently
Pulling the crown too hard may cause it to come out. Please pull it out gently.
To prevent bending the crown, please remove the watch from your wrist before operating.
Operating gently will reduce the strain on the crown.
Time setting: Pull the crown and rotate downwards
Pulling the crown stops the second hand
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior finished.
The strap has been replaced with a new genuine one, so you can use it with comfort.
The crystal has some minor scratches that could not be removed by polishing, but the dial visibility is good.
The crown bears the KS mark and is a replacement for a later King Seiko model.
The dial has been redone. (Not performed by our shop)
The medallion on the case back is in good condition.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof.Please avoid wearing it on rainy days or hot days.
Please also be careful of shocks and magnetism.
