This is a 1968 45KS (King Seiko) model with a gold-plated case.
The 45KS is the first King Seiko model to feature a 10-beat high-beat movement.
It is a slim, luxury timepiece that brings together the high-frequency technology cultivated through the "Swiss Chronometer Competition."
The movement is equipped with the high-beat (10-beat) Cal. 4502A.
It features a second-hand hacking mechanism for high practicality.
The crown is original and features the "KS" engraving exclusive to King Seiko.
At 5.6mm in diameter, it is easy to grip, and both manual winding and time adjustment can be performed smoothly.
For a gold-plated case, there is no noticeable peeling or wear, and it is a very clean example considering its age.
Recommended for those looking for a simple and elegant vintage watch.
How to Operate
Manual Winding: Rotate the crown clockwise in its normal position.
When winding the mainspring, please rotate the crown slowly and carefully in the clockwise direction.
Winding 10 to 20 times will not provide stable operation.
Please wind it until it is near the winding stop.
Winding will feel light at first, but will become heavier as it reaches full tension.
Please be aware that with manual-wind watches, forcing the crown past the winding stop can break the mainspring.
Time Adjustment: Pull the crown out to the second click and rotate clockwise (the second hand stops in this position).
Date Quick-Set: Pull the crown out to the first click and rotate clockwise.
Performing the quick-set operation while the hands are between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM may cause a malfunction.
We recommend setting the time to around 6:00 before performing the quick-set adjustment.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
The crystal has some minor scratches, but the dial remains highly legible.
The strap has been replaced with a brand new (genuine) one, so you can use it with peace of mind.
The buckle is original and features the SEIKO logo.
The gold medallion on the case back is in beautiful condition.
The engravings are also clearly visible.
Due to its age, this watch is not water-resistant.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Also, please be careful of impacts and magnetic fields.
