商品説明
The 1956 Omega Constellation Ref. 2852/2853 S.C., draped in the brilliance of solid 18k gold, is a model coveted by antique watch enthusiasts for its elegant presence and rarity.
This particular piece features the 12-sided dial, commonly known as the "pie-pan dial." Its name derives from its resemblance to a pie dish, featuring a gentle slope from the center toward the edge, which rises at the rim. The gold-colored hands, indices, and Omega logo are beautifully positioned, exuding a sense of luxury that captivates all who see it. In particular, the faceted heart-shaped indices that catch the light are an elaborate detail that radiates a special charm.
The case is made of solid 18k gold, adding a noble aura to the wrist. The inside of the case back is engraved with a serial number, "0.750 18K" to indicate gold purity, as well as hallmarks and patent numbers, proving its authentic quality. Hallmarks are also clearly visible in two locations on the back of the case lugs, and the observatory logo remains beautifully preserved.
The movement housed within is the full-rotor automatic "Caliber 505," developed during the same period. It features the beautiful red-gold plating unique to Omega, lending it the dignity expected of a high-end timepiece. In the Cal. 505, the rotor was made thicker than in previous automatic models to improve winding efficiency, which in turn increased the movement's overall thickness. Consequently, this model features a distinctive, protruding case back design that serves as an iconic trait for watches equipped with the Cal. 505.
As a non-date model, the calendar mechanism does not interfere with the dial, allowing you to fully appreciate the refined design of this timepiece—a key part of its appeal. With the brilliance of solid 18k gold standing out, this model is a masterpiece perfect for antique Omega collectors or those searching for a truly special piece.
How to Operate
Pulling the crown: Insert a fingernail between the case and the crown and pull out gently.
It is easier to pull out if you insert your nail from the back of the case.
Please remove the watch from your wrist before operation to prevent bending the crown stem.
Operating gently will reduce stress on the crown.
Manual Winding: With the crown in the normal position, rotate upwards.
Setting the Time: Pull the crown out and rotate downwards.
The second hand does not hack (stop).
Condition
This watch has been overhauled.
The strap has been replaced with a new one (by Morellato), so you can wear it with comfort.
The buckle is a genuine Omega part (the buckle is gold-plated).
Solid 18k gold is softer than stainless steel, so it may bend if excessive pressure is applied to the lugs.
We recommend not fastening the strap too tightly.
The dial shows signs of aging, such as sun-fading, dirt, and stains.
There is a dent on the bezel at the 12 o'clock position.
The case back has minor scuffs, but the observatory medallion remains in relatively clean condition.
The crystal has minor scratches that could not be polished out, but visibility of the dial is good.
It features the etched Ω logo in the center.
The crown also features the Ω logo. It has a 10-sided design that complements the 12-sided dial.
There is very little wear, and it remains in beautiful condition considering its age.
Due to its age, this watch is not waterproof.
Please avoid wearing it on rainy or hot days.
Please also be careful of impacts and magnetism.
