商品説明
This is a Seiko Crown Special 14K gold-filled model manufactured in 1963.
The Crown Special is a high-end model released after a minor change to the Grand Seiko First Model.
At the time, the Grand Seiko First cost 25,000 yen, and the Crown Special gold-filled cost 10,000 yen.
Although there are differences in design and movement specifications, it can be said to be a model with an excellent balance between product grade and sales price.
The dial features a vertical hairline finish, which creates beautiful shadows depending on the angle of the light.
This is a high-grade specification called the "SD dial," where the indexes (hour markers) are made of solid 18K or 14K gold.
The sun-like mark at the 6 o'clock position indicates an SD dial, and the sharp brilliance emanating from the index material itself remains vibrant even after half a century.
The hands are powerful dauphine hands, giving it a distinctive presence characteristic of Japanese antique watches.
The case and case back are 14K gold-filled.
The movement installed is the Cal.341.
Compared to the Grand Seiko First, the movement's finish and the type of regulator differ, but it is also equipped with a hacking (seconds regulation) function.

We highly recommend this watch to anyone looking for an elegant and dignified antique timepiece.
Condition
This watch has been overhauled and the exterior has been polished.
The crystal has some faint scuffs, but time readability is good.
The strap has been replaced with a new genuine Seiko crocodile leather strap (side croc). We have chosen dark brown to match the texture of the gold-filled case, so you can enjoy using it comfortably from the day it arrives.
The crown features the "S-mark genuine crown," a symbol of luxury watches of that era. Despite being a part that is prone to wear, the engraving is still clear and in excellent condition. With a diameter of 4.6mm, it has a good grip, allowing for smooth daily hand-winding without stress. Enjoy the elegant side profile characteristic of Seiko from the early 1960s.
Over time, the dial has undergone beautiful aging into a unique copper color. It has transformed into a rich color unique to vintage watches, and the contrast with the solid gold indexes creates a wonderful sparkle.
As this is an old watch, it is not waterproof. It is strictly prohibited to use it in environments with a lot of moisture (on rainy days, when washing your face, or wearing it on hot days when you sweat).
As it is a precision instrument, please be careful of drops and strong impacts.
Also, please keep it away from strong magnetic fields such as smartphones, PCs, and magnets on bag clasps.
